Privacy policy
Party Moose Games LLC ("we", "us") is a one-person studio in Watertown, Massachusetts. We collect the minimum the Game needs to run, we do not sell your data, and the Game contains no analytics or tracking SDKs beyond the ad and notification services named below.
What we collect
| Data | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifier | Unity Player Accounts gives the Game a player ID when you sign in. We never see your email address or password; Unity handles sign-in. | To tell your account from everyone else's and keep your progress. |
| Player name | You choose it. | Matches, friends, guilds, leaderboards, chat and replays. |
| Game progress | Generated as you play: pucks, levels, squads, currencies, chests, quests, season pass, trophies, matchmaking rating, arena unlocks, match history and results. | To run the Game and save your progress across devices. |
| Purchases and ad views | Records of in-game purchases (product and time, never card details) and of rewarded ads you choose to watch. | To deliver what you bought or earned, and to resolve disputes. |
| Social content | Chat messages to friends and guild members, guild membership and activity, friend lists, mail, and match replays. Replays contain the player names of both sides and the moves made. | To provide those features. Replays you share by code are visible to anyone with the code. |
| Gameplay events | Session start and end, platform (Android or iOS), app version, match outcomes, gold earned, puck level-ups, quests completed and trophy changes. | To balance the Game and find bugs. These events do not include your device model, operating system, location, IP address, language or advertising ID. |
| Support tickets | What you type, plus your app version, device model, operating system, language, screen and device memory size. For bug, cheating and balance reports, a replay of your last match is attached. | To reproduce and fix the problem you reported. |
| Push notification token | A device token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, if you allow notifications. | To notify you of challenges and chat messages. |
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone audio. The Game does not read your device's advertising identifier itself; see the ads section for what Google's SDK does.
Services the Game relies on
Each of these receives only what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies): sign-in, cloud save, friends, and the relay servers that carry online matches. Matches go through Unity's relay, so other players never see your IP address. Unity privacy policy.
- Supabase: hosts our database, replay files and server functions. Supabase privacy policy.
- Google AdMob: serves the optional rewarded ads. Google privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivers push notifications. The Firebase library bundled with the Game may record basic app-open events on Google's side; we do not read or use them.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: process payments. We receive a receipt, never your payment details.
Ads
The Game shows ads only when you choose to watch one for a reward. There are no banner or interstitial ads. When you watch one, Google's ad SDK may use your device's advertising identifier to pick and measure ads, under Google's policy. On iOS, the Game does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, so ads are not personalised across other companies' apps. Where you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
What other players can see
Your player name, trophies, arena, squad and puck levels are visible to opponents, friends, guild members and on leaderboards. Chat messages are visible to the people you send them to. Replays of your matches are stored for a limited time and can be watched by anyone you share the code with, and by us when investigating a report.
How long we keep it
Account and progress data stay as long as your account exists. Gameplay events and session records are kept for analysis and then aggregated or deleted. Replays are kept for a limited period and then removed. Support tickets are kept as long as needed to resolve them and to handle repeat reports. Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and dispute purposes.
Deleting your account
In the Game, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. It asks you to confirm, then deletes your account and data straight away; a backup copy clears within 30 days. If you no longer have the Game installed, email support@partymoosegames.com with your player name and "delete" in the subject, and we will do it for you within 30 days.
Deletion removes your profile, progress, currencies, squads, friends, guild membership, chat messages, mail, support tickets, replays you recorded and push tokens, plus your Unity account and cloud save. Match results stay in your opponents' history with your name replaced by "Deleted player". Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires, detached from your name. Deletion cannot be undone and purchases cannot be restored afterwards. The full steps are on the account deletion page.
You can also uninstall the Game at any time, which removes everything stored on your device. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address above. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing is performance of our contract with you (running the Game), our legitimate interest in keeping it fair and working, and your consent for personalised ads and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and you have the rights above.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Our server only accepts requests signed with your account's credentials, and our database is not reachable from the Game except through those checked requests. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you inside the Game or by this website.
Running Riot and Splicers
Both games are sold on Steam and neither sends any data to us. They have no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporting. Settings and local progress are stored on your own computer. Anything that leaves your machine goes to Valve under Valve's privacy policy:
- Running Riot stores achievements, stats and high scores in Steam. The leaderboards show your Steam name and score to other players.
- Splicers uses Steam for online play: friends-only lobbies, rich presence (so friends can see your game and join it), and the names of players in your session. Maps you publish to the Steam Workshop are public and carry your Steam name as the author. Online play normally runs through Steam's relay network, so other players do not see your IP address. If you host or join a direct connection by IP address instead, the players in that session can see each other's IP addresses.

Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you inside the Game before the change takes effect.
